i'm not sure why i am surprised by this. I thought online dating was kind of crazy. But then I found out about http://www.shaadi.com/ - the online marriage arrangement service.
Apparently Aunti-ji signed up for it a few months ago, for her daughter, but her english isnt really strong enough to navigate it. So I have been helping her check out potential husbands for her daughter. really crazy. I'd feel weird divulging any more than this. But just imagine what it would be like if your parents chose your spouse for you based on his or her facebook profile - only these profiles have even less information on them! And then imagine if they asked some random foreign student to help them figure out which ones were good!!!
