The games children play

Allen and I stumbled upon a group of kids playing in the alley near his tabla classes. There was yelling, and running, and ball throwing involved. See if you can guess how this game is played (by my not incredibly clear video)

Lucknow - the games children play from Nikki Candelore Roda on Vimeo.

Two teams. One pile of cigarette boxes. One ball.
The first team knocks over the cigarette boxes with the ball.
With that, the second team has to peg the person on the other team who toppled the cigarette boxes with the ball before the first team has a chance to re-pile up the cigarette boxes.
Game on!

UPDATE: Since posting we've gotten some feedback from others who have seen (and or played) this game before. This game has many names, but our friend knew it as gena gippi - roughly translated to "Hit the gippy" ... gippy being the stack of cigarette boxes. So... there you go folks, you learn something new every day!
