Shave and a Haircut, 2 bits!

Allen gets first hand experience with with the U.P (Uttar Pradesh) massage.

He got a shave, a haircut, and a U.P. Massage at one of (the many) side of the road stalls ... a real Uttar Pradesh-ian experience. There's not much more to really say about it, the footage really speaks for itself.

On a related note Allen decided to participate in this year's Whiskerino competition, participant name Rodastan. For the uninitiated, Whiskerino is a 4-month beard growing celebration/competition/creativity bonanza - here are some archives from previous years. It is meant to be silly and goofy and inspire a love of unkempt beard growing (there are rules!). But he had to do it this year because this may be the last year they hold the event (since it is getting so big!). It reminds us a lot of our friends back in NY who first told us about it --- one of whom has even started to use the competition as a way to raise money for Habitat For Humanity, you can sponsor a beard grower to help the homeless!

So if you see Allen's beard becoming more and more unruly in the coming months don't be too surprised ... I'll try to be posting some of his better competition photos and video here as well for your amusement.
