There definitely is a lot of religious significance to this festival - but being completely ignorant of all that, we were just out to get covered in dyes.
We'd been warned that in some places Holi color throwing celebrations can get a little bit rowdy, so we arranged with the kids in our building to play with them in our gated parking lot. Here are the before shots:
