I recently noticed that now the advertisements I see online know that I am here. Facebook now asks me to take quizzes about Bollywood stars and Google wants me to learn more about cricket. I don't think it is the subject of my posts that has triggered them, but rather my IP address.
Despite the Internet being global, it still targets people based on where they are. Soon, I expect this targeting to become even more regional and site specific...
crazy, eh?
